Just a few questions on the lore already released:
Is the arrival of humans in Ravenland seen as a creation myth for the humans of Alderland or is simply a migration in a longer history?
It's migration in a longer story, and there might be other groups with other stories and the stories might not be entirely correct.
If it is a creation myth, do the Elves and other intelligent creatures of Ravenland have their own creation myths?
Yes, those who care about this stuff. For instance elves believe they fell as rubies from ”The Red Runner” = a wandering red star in the sky, while dwarves thing their god created them to physically build the world, and that they reincarnate although alterated to serve their purpose better as his tools.
How do the humans of Alderland refer to the world at large and what is the "official" name for the world in which we find Alderland, Ravenland and Aslene?
No specific answer yet. Just ”The World” for now. In my earlier projects I've found it useful (and more interesting) not to tell everything immediately, but rather on a need-to-know/found out basis. This lets you tweak and connect things later (i.e in expansions). Also in Ravenland, the premises are that people are pretty ignorant.
Elsewhere in the forum the Aslene riders have been described as having thematic origins derived from pseudo persian/bactrian influences. What influences led to the humans of Alderland?
The Alderaans, sorry I mean Alderlanders
are of the pretty generic European type. This was part of the retro aspect as the Gulliksson pictures of people were already given. Having said that, they shouldn't be standard anyway, since they have a lot of factions and infighting and strange ideas.
So many more questions but I don't want to go too crazy!
That's what we're here for, dear Dun-dude. Going crazy is what we do
