Cool, not sure that would be cheaper than the official dice, though - the pricing is a bit unclear.  I assume that $1 price is per side, per dice?  So ordering 20 yellow dice with the custom 1 and 6 would cost $40, plus shipping?
Also probably not an affordable option for those of us outside the USA, due to high shipping.
But cool to have the option anyway!!

You get to have what you want on the dice, your own personal design, and how expensive are those pens again

I looked at the Chessex and weighed the costs. And went for my own.

I have 5 or 6 players at my table regularly, and I wanted everyone to have a set of 5 dice per category (attribute, gear, skill), plus a set of my own. That is 105 dice total. If i customized one of the colors with face the total is $26.25. Customizing the other two colors with two faces each is $105.00. That is a total of $131.25. Plus whatever the shipping was.

While the fabric markers I'm sure are amazing, I use sharpie markers when making notes for projects. They are permanent and will work fine -- so no cost there.

Meanwhile, after digging around on Amazon I managed to find a craft parts company that strangely had the dice I wanted in packages of 25. I picked up 50 yellow, 50 black, and 50 green for a total of $30. And shipping was free. So, $100 less than ordering them from Chessex. This means I will have all the dice I need, plus extras.

Yep, custom dice is a very cool option. The pens cost €2 and €3 each here in Europe on Amazon.de, so not expensive for me. Looks like they're about $10 each in the US.

That's so strange. I swear that when I looked them up on Amazon a few days ago all I could find was the markers for $40!!!
And now I find them for the prices you are saying!

Handmade Year Zero Dice.

Asterisk is a Success
Circle is Trauma
Triangle is Break
All sides that do not have one of these symbols is blank -- allowing the player's eye to immediately take stock of how many dice are available to push vs. already marked.

Cool, very simple symbology, easy to understand and I really like the gold ink on the green and yellow dice.  Thanks for sharing!
