Personally I'm not sure Charisma is as good a fit here as it is in some of Ligan's other games. In a retro game about adventuring and exploring, 'Will' seems like a better fit
Yep, I've been thinking something similar, too. Or go with something similar to Shadow of the Demon Lord: Strength, Agility, Will, Intellect.

Social Skills are classed as a battle of Wills or someone using their Intellect to deceive / convince.
That says a lot about that game, lol
Yeah, it's pretty awesome, and extremely popular.

Not popular around here, but I can see why some would like it,
Just not my cup of tea,

What's Move? Move is for me something that have to do with Agility and not Strength. But perhaps you can enlighten me with what you mean  ;)
I agree with you on Heal ranking among Wits but perhaps if Charisma becomes Empathy it makes more sense (see my former post).
I have to be honest I don't like Investigation. This skill has for me the meaning that you search for clues, ask witnesses and gather clues. But Awareness or Perception is broader and therefore better for so few skills.
I want a Lore skill in my game - but that my personal taste ;)
I need to check the MYZ book when I get back home, but Move encompasses Athletics, Driving and Escaping combat (so Dodging?). I think here it can encompass Riding and Acrobatics all in one, and can be further defined by Talents.

I'm thinking now Charm could be replaced with Empathy (as a skill), which could encompass animal training / calming as well as reading / judging people's emotions. Charming people would fall under Manipulation or Perfornance, depending on how you do it. Hmmm, dunno, though.

@King_Kull, I think I might agree with you on Investigation, but can you explain how / when Awareness vs Insight would be used? I can see Awareness as a bit more passive Perception than Scouting, but Insight is a little more baffling.
Awareness is to spot something physical, e.g. someone sneaking up to you, blood on the floor, a secret door. Insight is to gauge if someone is lying to you, hiding something from you, to get a feeling from a scene.

Cool, I like both of those. I really prefer Empathy to Charisma as an Attribute, and if that change was made, Insight would slot perfectly under Empathy (not so much under Charisma), freeing up another skill spot under Wits.

You could use the term Wisdom instead of insight

No, Wisdom is not a skill it’s an attribute ;)
To be earnest: Insight has not such a broad meaning as Wisdom. And all the systems have used Wisdom as an attribute and I think that is a correct way of handling it.

Agreed, Wisdom doesn't sound right to me either as a Skill.

We were discussing Insight being under Charisma, how does using Wisdom address that issue?
Wisdom under Charisma feels even more out of place than Insight under Charisma.

The MY0 original is even more narrow - Genomskåda (to "see through" as in "I can see through your empty lies") in Swedish or Sense Emotion in English.

Actually, there are some good words in English for this. Here are my favourites (in no particular order), with definitions from the Oxford English Dictionary.

1. Sagacity - The quality of being sagacious. (Sagacious - Having or showing keen mental discernment and good judgement; wise or shrewd.)

2. Insight - The capacity to gain an accurate and deep understanding of someone or something.

3. Intuition - The ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning.

4. Shrewdness - The quality of having or showing good powers of judgement.

Sagacity stands out as being a bit too literary, it's not really used in common speech as much as the others. For my money, I like Insight best.
