Path of the Blade Clarification

Wed 22 May 2019, 18:02

This may seem like a dumb question but it's sprung up in-game and I'd like a clarification from the game designers. Is the Path of the blade talent usable with :

- Unarmed combat (punch, kick, tackle, etc)
- Ranged weapons (Bows and crossbows)
- Other ranged/Thrown weapons (daggers, rocks, etc)
- Non bladed weapons (mauls, hammers, etc)
- Piercing weapons (daggers, etc)
- Slashing attacks (swords,etc) only

I read the term "blade" as symbolic. I wouldn't penalise a Fighter PC who wanted to specialise in big hammers, for example. So just replace "blade" with "weapon" in the text and you're good to go.

Melee weapon that is (since the their is a ranged version of this talent already).

Yep, good catch. Likewise Path of the Arrow can work with crossbow bolts and slingstones. :)
