Great ideas!!
There could be a fan-made PDF for April's Fool day, that compiles ideas from the community to use the Spinal Tap die as an in-game mechanic.
Or, really, maybe there should be a generally accepted rule that anybody who owns a genuine Spinal Tap die gets to use it on any Song roll.

However this happened, I feel really bad for the guy/gal (intern?) whose responsibility it was to inspect the proofs.

Free League:
Maybe stop pre-order sales of the dice sets in the store, to save shipping and hassle with replacement of new feat dice? Or are those the future revised feats dice sets?

The 11 can be irritating, especially for new players or for the ones who did use regular d12 (interpreting the 11 as a ZERO).
I think I will try to make some stickers for me and my players with self-adhesive paper on my printer.
For me that could be a work-around until the new dice arrive.

Just fill the extra 1 in with the base color.

As somebody new to The One Ring and its rules and dice ... but what is so bad about having the eye symbol on the "1" and not the "11" of a die? Is it because it then gets easier because you can add 11 to your roll instead of it being a zero?

Exactly! There are some other implications. For example, if you attack and you roll a 10+ (10 and Gandalf) on the d12, you inflict a Piercing blow. With the additional 11, fights are more dangerous.

Then there are some tables, that need to be reworked, if you use the 11. All in all not that bad, but still…

For now ... I used a sharpie on the black dice to make the 11 a 1.

It's not do pretty but easier visual in game when the game gets going/heated.

I am glad of their resolution promise on reprint though. It is surprising that a mistake like that got through multiple tiers of QC. OH WELL ;)

Any updates about the replacement dices?

But I like the idea to have two different feat dices. The misprinted ones are for a slight advantage.

We are using the bogus dice as a boon for the player who has them. Started with our new player having them and then giving them to the 'best' player of the last game as voted by the group.

It's a minor buff, but it is a nice bonus to have.

Of course I'm using the black loremaster dice so I have to remember to count 11 as 1.

Not ideal, but it's a minor solution until the replacement dice come.

That's actually kind of a cool idea. I like it.

And it's not inconsequential: it's equivalent to +1 on all rolls. And if you're counting the 11 as a Pierce, it's actually a pretty solid buff in combat.
