I agree info can be found elsewhere, but isn’t that what a Kickstarter page should do? Give you info on the product they are selling?
I didn’t check the twilight 2000 page after the first couple of days, so maybe they added more. But from what I remember it was basically “updated rules... and Sweden!”
Again I just mean this as constructive criticism. I have alien rpg and mutant year zero, so I know these guys make a good game. I just wish they could make a more detailed Kickstarter.
First: The rules in Twilight 2000 4E has nothing to do with the rules in 1-3E. It uses a new rule system which is a heavily tweaked version of the Year Zero engine, it is not an update.
Then a little note, Kickstarter is not a pre-order, it is an investment in a game to come. For Free League, some of the game has been written before the kickstarter launches and a raw draft of the game has been tested out so that is what they can write about on the kickstarter. On the kickstarter they talk about some basic mechanics, but the game isn't finished until after the kickstarter period is over (and then some).
When FL did this for T2K4E, they wrote about what you play, what you are suppose to do (and where) in the game and the core mechanics, for those that was interested to read it.
TOR2E is an updated version of the TOR1E rules and they haven't talked that much of what it is that is updated but they have been talking about some of it on FLs channels and also on the kickstarter and more about this is to come for sure. The kickstarter is not over yet so I can't judge about this particular kickstarter.
Again, a kickstarter isn't a pre-order of a game that is for the most part done, it is an investment for a game to come. Being a backer means you get the game cheaper than in retail, but it also means that you invest money in something that hasn't been fully done yet.
