It says you can only improve a skill a single step but then talks about spending 25 XP to go up two levels as an example. It looks like it was meant to explain that you must pay the full cost of each level when you buy them (i.e. to go from D to B, you have to pay the cost for C as well), but it's using a two step cost as an exemplar for "You can only buy a single step at a time". Unless it's trying to state that during a Stretch, if I have 25 XP, I can go from D to B in a Skill... which is not how I read that section.I don't see how this is contradictory or jumbled?Page 40 Spending XP

This sentence seems to contradict itself or at least jumbles up two rules into an unclear sentence.
Driving, Mobility, and Stamina are always available, regardless of Career, per step 6 on page 31.Pg 32, combat arms need some way to increase driving. Tanker is a specialty, it needs the basic skills. Perhaps add a general rule that you can always increase a skill modified by a specialty you have.
