Size of the boxed set

Thu 23 Sep 2021, 11:28

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone caught the physical size of the boxed set? I was planning on buying a ammunition box for storing the set, something similar to this below:

The books are most likely letter format, so the box is a little bit bigger than that.

As someone who owns one of the ammo crates shown in the link (Military surplus stores are a blessing), the crate is almost certainly too small for the box set.

25mm ammo can might be better: https://militarysurplusllc.com/shop/ols ... -6500-shpd .Though that guy only ships in the USA.

So US Letter is 22x28 cm, box is then maybe 23x29 so this might do the trick.

28x13x33,5 cm, might even be a bit too big.

That, BTW, looks far too big for a 100 round can. I'd believe it if marked 200 round. That said, the hundreds I've got measure about 28L x 14.4W x 18H. I doubt 13 cm wide, if that is accurate, would fit .50 BMG; definitely not with the proper packing material (sheets of cardboard) inside.

This said, I've had a lot of success with 40mm ammo cans deploying game stuff around the world. Either the 48 or 32 round cans should serve well.
