Research for a Mystery

Sat 20 Feb 2021, 20:38

Hey all!

First time posting around here. I've fallen head over heels for Vaesen (as I have with every FL product) and I want to starting writing custom mysteries, possibly even publish them under the Free League Workshop at a later date. There's a campaign that has been knocking around in my head for a few weeks now, and I think I finally want to put it to paper.

I've been researching for the first mystery of this campaign (tentatively named "Haunting at the Museum"), and its set in Copenhagen. Originally the idea was to feature various locations in the city, but I've since narrowed the narrative to just being set inside the National Museum of Denmark (Nationalmuseet), since it's a large enough place with a variety of environs to explore in a very "Night at the Museum" kind of way.

I'm wondering if anyone here who might be better at deep research than I am can turn up old floorplans/blueprints of the museum from the late 19th/early 20th century that I can use. I found the floor plan, circa 2011 (https://issuu.com/nationalmuseet/docs/floorplan), but I'm trying to dig for any period accurate information I can use to know the interior space a bit better for the time period. Even information about renovations and past exhibits would be useful! Really, I'm open to any help and suggestions for this one.
