Names in core book and adventures...

Hm, I would really like to suggest not to use ‘inside jokes/modern references” for NPCs... Tom Kruse at the inn.,. Come on. It only breaks immersion and make the game look like a low comedy farce.

Wow, that seemed harsh. That NPC will always be Tom Kruse to me.

Kruse is very typical German surname and Tom or better Thomas, too.

If pronounced normally it won't sound like Mr. Cruise.

Thank you!

As for not pronouncing the same - it looks close enough to me. English spelling is many contradictory borrows, so the vowel-se = vowel-z pattern renders it kruz.

I would also suggest a unified take on the names/nomenclature of troll and other vaesen kin in the books. I got the impression the names were’placeholder’ and sometimes felt rather ‘unfitting’, like Neffalim something for instance...

Better to stick with a type of names for trolls, one for fairies etc.
