I made a spotify playlist for vaesen, it for a more mystery feel than horror. Some new game/movie music som original music from the era. Over 40h

Enjoy!
It still a working project.

Per Faxneld’s excellent book with new gothic folk tales but in the style of 19th century, Offerträdet, (The Sacrificial Tree) has a playlist that should work mighty fine for Vaesen:

The book is in Swedish only, but is fun and inspiring for the setting.

The talented Andreas Lundström, who did the Vaesen soundtrack, is on Spotify with the soundtrack for Call of Cthulhu Sweden as well. Dark and brooding and most useful as variation for Vaesen gaming.

I have maybe spent a bit too much time on the music, so i thought I should share it. :)

Much of the music is Swedish folk music and other similar styles. Most of it is instrumental. Feel free to use how ever you want.

Themes.
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5jAic ... gmSD9UovDA
This playlist is not intended to be played as it is, but rather as a list of possible themes to use. One i really suggest highly to use as a main theme is Horgalåten, which has a quite grim backstory (I sugest you translate the swedish wiki page https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C3%A5rgadansen). I suggest the GM or you as a group listen trough some of the songs and find which you like.

Calm
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3v9Sd ... wBbO4IgcQQ
Basic a bit scary music to play in the background. I use this or a soundscape (specifically MyNoise).

Happy
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5CvOy ... xCjRu_Z_xA
Mostly calm and positive. Perfect for example in the end of a adventure.

Creapy
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3toQ6 ... UwRhY3uI3g
Somewhat scary music. Good for building up some atmosphere. I usually use this when the PC are close to a vaesen.

Fatefull
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3Ex4q ... A00OnpTmLw
The PC have lost. Something has gone bad. Use this then.

Scary
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0hVWn ... wGUOKP7n7g
For the most extrem scary cases when you don't have a specific theme for a vaesen. Use this sparingly. I especially like Philip Glass four songs.

Towards action
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3uHr7 ... HFZxstZ_8Q
Mostly for when the scary is going toward action. I probably play one from here and then change playlist.

Tavern
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0XbI8 ... EMFNkOZuBg
Originally planed to use as diegetic music in taverns and similar places. Is mostly really positive.
