Advanced Skill Use with Bonus from Equipment

Mon 06 Mar 2017, 19:15

Hullo, folks,

When dealing with the Advanced Skills, does an item that provide a bonus make the character able to do a Skill test, even if they don't have the Skill?

For example, can a character without Medicurgy use a medkit or an M-dose to help an injured character?

Thanks, in advance? :)

I just replied to a similar question on G+. No I don't think a Gear bonus counts as having one level in an advanced skill.

I agree.

It would make the check More likely to happen because of more size rolled but wouldn't give you the skill lvl requirement

Correct. This means you really want someone in the vicinity to have the Medicurgy skill should you suffer a fatal crit.

Hullo, Tomas,
Again, thanks for the clarification on this.
And what you said above:  understatement for sure! :)
