Map scale goof

Someone in the Facebook TFtL group pointed out an error on the map that no one has spotted before, and which originates in the maps provided in the art books. The distance ruler is off, showing distances as twice as long. It should show 2.5 kilometers (give or take 30 meters or so) instead of 5 km, or 590 meters to the centimeter. 8,5 mm equals 500 meters. I guess this error has gone unspotted because most people are unfamiliar with the real-life setting. This will affect the dimensions of the particle accelerators, which I will recalculate.

Perhaps due to the effects of The Loop, the area has undergone a TARDIS like effect, bigger on the inside than on the outside :-)

Here are the new dimensions of the particle accelerators:

Prim-1: diameter 14.4 km, circumference 45.2 km
Prim-2: diameter 11.1 km, circumference 34.9 km
Aux: diameter 8.5 km, circumference 26.7 km

It's still a very impressive facility, where the auxiliary accelerator has the same circumference as the Large Hadron Collider. Also, the tunnels of the three particle accelerators are just a couple kilometers shy of the entire Stockholm Metro system.

For the map in the rulebook, 1 cm = 770 m.

The Boulder City map scale is correct.

Will there be a revised edition of the PDF-map?
