Hi!
I will soon start my FL campaign and I'm translating some names in Italian, including Adventure Sites. As a non-native speaker, I can't seem to wrap my head around the name Haggler's House: I didn't know the word "haggler" and it looks like it means "a person who argues or bargains over the price of something". So was it intended to be some sort of marketplace since villagers gather there during Harvest Day? Haggler is pretty much untranslatable in Italian so I was going to call it "Tempio dei Sacrifici" (Temple of Sacrifice) or something like that, but I'd like your opinion on this, maybe I'm missing something obvious.

Haggler comes from the verb "haggle", which seems to be "contrattare" in itallian. So maybe something like Casa dei contrattare could be an option?

The name for people who haggle is "contrattatore" in Italian but "Casa del Contrattatore" doesn't sound like an inspiring name for an adventure site, and also I don't think it really fits with its theme? I just don't get why it is called like that :O

As a side note, the place is called Haggahus in swedish. The word ”Hagga” can roughly be translated to ”old woman”, ”crone” or even ”witch” and the word ”hus” translate to ”house”. So Hagglers house could be translated to something like ”the witch house” or ”house of the old crone”.
Since the game was originally written in swedish, I thought this could be of interest.

I made both names up and can vouch for Oldtimers interpretation. The Swedish Hagga ≈ Ugly Crone, is closely related to Hag = Witch, so I thought the translation would be suitable. The hag at the house is obviously the goddess Heme, but there's also haggling going on: villagers bringing stuff and getting blessings in return.

I think your translation of 'hus' is a bit off. In contemporary Swedish it means house, but it used to have a broader meaning of ~fort which was applied to the whole settlement (for example Århus, Glimmingehus). So perhaps Cronesbury would be a good English translation?

For now I've translated it in Italian as "Dimora della Strega" which would be something like "WItch's Dwelling"; I like your interpretation of a fort-like structure, it's fitting for the site. I'll work on that, thanks for the input!
