When should I switch between Acts?

Sun 24 Oct 2021, 11:15

I am going to run Chariot of the Gods in a couple hours, and this question suddenly rise to me.
When i read throught the rules, it seems that the Acts are divided vaguely and there are't any events or so that would trigger the next Act.

I'm quite confused by far, but it seems fine to just go with it.
Just curious if I got the rules wrong.

It is meant to be adaptable, and you can move stuff around if you need to. IIRC, each Act's events section has a small paragraph discussing when that act begins? Something like that. But basically, you've been presented with a list of suggestions that you use or ignore, and shift around, as you think best.

it very simple. In this game (Alien RPG) or in a movie, an act start sometimes when an action start (the man is chesbursting, the storm arise, the Bison hauler alarm goes on, etc.) Or when characters change place (PCs enter the ship, PCs open the door, PCs crashe on the planet, etc.). As Angelman said, when you look in the events of act.1 you will see when it's starting. Some events are mandatory and some are at your discretion.
