Re: DM at Roll20?

I'd love to play as well. Much as I'd be willing to assist with homebrew writing and planning, I don't think I'm ready to GM any games myself yet. Love mucking around with things and being able to write for a nice setting. Every GM could use a hand, especially one willing to run a game like this.  M...

Re: Age Of Innocence (Character Ages)

another, more recent, work with a gun to a teddy bear's head (Though I do not believe it's from the 'Tales From' series) The gun to the teddy bear's head is from   Things From the Flood . It's a proper gun, "grandfather’s old pocket pistol" according to the story. Ah thanks! That makes good sense. ...

Re: Classes

The "Hick" class sounds interesting. Is it possible to get more information on that? When exactly is the Beta PDF coming out?
Before Christmass, so in about a week! Though there's supposed to be some things missing from it, and the info won't be final. Though that's to be expected from a Beta.

Re: Age Of Innocence (Character Ages)

Though again going back to the setting, The Loop is on the Malar Islands, and Simon's own paintings has a child pointing a pistol at a machine on the side of the road. It sounds like a tragedy waiting to happen, but I do see dumb kids looking for adventure trying - and succeeding- to find weapons. ...

Compilation of admin given info.

Hi! The differences are a little to many too list here, but I will try to shed some light on the subject.  The Tales from the Loop RPG  uses the same core game engine as  Mutant: Year Zero  - there are four attributes and twelve skills, you get one die for each point in the attribute and skill used...

Re: Age Of Innocence (Character Ages)

None of this surprises me but the access to firearms. Really? I'd have guessed there would be a hunting culture in Sweden, since it's even a point of tourism. Growing up in Canada, I was faced with the same deal, finding a weapon for me at 12 was incredibly simple. Though Combat is definitely not t...

Re: Age Of Innocence (Character Ages)

Yeah, that's perfect, thank you! That makes things very interesting, linking Attributes to age sounds like a wonderful way to make character creation have a bit more weight. I'm even more eager to see the Beta in the coming week, now, I want to read about this.

Re: Age Of Innocence (Character Ages)

Remember that in Sweden, the driving age is 18, which makes Swedish PCs less mobile. Couple that with very limited access to guns, and you have teenage characters that wouldn't be too powerful. I remember some stupid sh*t my friends and I did in our upper teens, so don't discount those years. The p...

Re: Age Of Innocence (Character Ages)

There's also player to player connection I'd think about however. Having PCs all in the same grade, know each other, and have to deal with new feelings cropping up around those relations would be an interesting thing to play out. Like how in Stranger Things, they were all best friends. But going off...

Re: Archetypes and Social Standings

There is computer geek there as well. Maybe we could be looking at purely social cliques at school to define character types. Jock separate from Popular Kid, and so on. Though I'm going to bet that there's a way we can cross class and/or modify each class easily.
