Re: Travel

Yeah i read that to and was abit confused thinking i missed something because a game based so heavily on travel does not need % chance random walls to hurt the narrative. Hm, not sure I follow - roleplaying travel surely shouldn't mean travel should be fast and easy? Quite the opposite, no?` Rememb...

Re: [ALPHA] THE WORLD AT WAR comments/feedback

As I see it there are four alternatives: Plausibility is fundamentally impossible to achieve in this type of setting. Any attempts at it would be doomed to failure, and are therefore a waste of time. Plausibility, whether possible or impossible to achieve, is irrelevant to the game. This is a fanta...

Re: [ALPHA] THE WORLD AT WAR comments/feedback

Well .. this is the Alpha phase, right? And so, a golden opportunity for the vast majority of player groups to pipe up and drown the small minority of dissenting voices that seem to think plausibility actually does have an important part to play even in this setting, right? A bit of a shoddy turnou...

Re: [ALPHA] Character generation

Some thoughts on the character generation. I like the life path, but noticed some things I thought I'd bring up for discussion. I haven't really made up my mind about them myself. 1. Age effects are not really age effects since they come independent from aging. It's mechanism to give something nega...

Re: [ALPHA] THE WORLD AT WAR comments/feedback

This I disagree with. Part of the appeal of Twilight: 2000 (And the reason why I've always wanted to run it, and why I threw money at the developers to kickstart it) is that it offers a much more realistic view of the apocalypse than pretty much any other system or setting. After all, there are ple...

The travel rules are based on the rules in Forbidden Lands and they are actually nice and good. The probably need to tweak the v...

Re: [ALPHA] THE WORLD AT WAR comments/feedback

Here is the true part though that social media and avid debaters are not talking about, what the vast ammount of player groups mostly likely feel. 1) most of us care little for ultra realism, especially in a backstory 2) most of us care little or none for this appealing to the notion of keeping some...

Re: [ALPHA] "so i am missing x vehicle/gear/weapon"

What I lack so far in hardware is also connected to the worldbuilding. In my view, both the HK G11 and the Strv 141 should be listed, but the way the world currently is written, I can see why particularly the G11 wouldn't be; the Strv 141 still being a bit more questionable. Now call me silly but w...

Re: [ALPHA] "so i am missing x vehicle/gear/weapon"

Soviet stuff that's missing: BMD-series
the lack of bmd series especially considering the active use of the paratroopers from the ussr in the game is weird, if anything it should have been more used than the bmp in sweden for example, atleast initially.
