Re: [ALPHA] THE WORLD AT WAR comments/feedback

What is happening inside the URSS in this case? They would surely have their own problems, and probably fighting their own internal quagmires. Why going to fight the great satan in Iraq, when you can fight the little satan at home? Funnily enough it would probably creates some common ground between...

Re: [ALPHA] THE WORLD AT WAR comments/feedback

WW3 made easy: The first Gulf War happens, but he US with British forces fully invade and occupy Iraq, which goes as bad as the second Gulf War... turning into a quagmire. Meanwhile, the US also gets heavily involved in the Pacific because China attempts a Taiwan invasion, and North Korea detonates...

Re: Defense dice instead of combat modifiers

A negative success mechanic exists in almost every other YZE game on opposed rolls, so if including the opposed roll, then not allowing for it in T2K is an odd choice. So, you're going to be doing MAJOR changes to the resistance. Thanks for the feedback. A negative success condition do...

Defense dice instead of combat modifiers

Looking for some feedback please... In my humble opinion, modifying attribute/skill dice seems awkward and too severe. Instead, the target rolls defense dice to oppose the attack roll, which would be more granular and perhaps more intuitive. Examples Target behind soft cover = D6 Target behind hard ...

Re: Languages

Well, it doesn’t matter so much how we define Empathy vs Intelligence. The game designers have linked skills to these attributes that shows how they defined them. Intelligence skills = Recon, Survival, Tech. These skills don’t involve interacting with people. Empathy skills = Command, Manipulation, ...

Re: Languages

Not sure the new edition will work like that. The old T2k was more skill based, but it seems that in the current draft, the game only has twelve skills — four basic attributes, and three skills per attribute. Skills can then be further "fine tuned" with specialties. "Languages" ...

Re: Languages

Good question. If you want realism and play as a US soldier in Europe, then it’s definitely a major concern.

Does anyone recall how it was handled in the first edition rules?

Ammunition Options

Will the game have rules for different types of ammunition: armor piercing, hallow point, incendiary, tracers, etc?
