Raging swan press has some dungeon backdrops that are pretty good.

http://blog.trilemma.com/ has some good adventures, which you can either get individually from the blog or as a compendium through DTRPG.

I guess the best way would be to give them good armor and make them proficient with weapons so they can defend themselves.

Unfortunately you won’t be able to publish anything from any of the Forbidden Lands books.

I agree with PDFs, it’s much nicer to have a physical book.

Chariot is in the starter set, along with extra dice and what is effectively the player handbook version of the rules. Which is more than worth it for the price to have alongside the core rule book.
