Re: Abstraction level

Boggit, I'm firmly in agreement with you on this - I see no difficulty (or much effort) in tracking actual use of food, fuel, ammo, etc, and to me, think it is very much part of the game: resource management in a make-do-and-mend world. Moreover, using some form of 'resource die' to track usage wher...

Re: Vehicles, kit , etc

At the risk of getting slightly off the topic of T:2k 4e. Type 45's had a problem with power supply: high electrical demand caused the system to fall over. Supposedly all fixed now (cut open the hull and stick in an extra generator, was the fix, if I recall). The more significant issue is that the o...

Re: While we wait

1st Edition player. Towards the end of last year, I dug out a load of unpainted 20mm figures I had bought (many, many years ago) primarily to use with T:2k, and decided for no particular reason to paint them. Then the KS for 4th edition was announced. I can take a hint... Perhaps slightly more sensi...

Re: French organized crime ....

To be honest, a lot of the GDW stuff was something of a stretch as regards believability (and on occasion dodgy in terms of geography, too) - I don't think I've ever seen a comment from a Brit that thinks that the Survivors' Guide to the UK was anything but laughable as regards the situation in the ...

Re: The Swedish setting

I didn't know about the Strv 141 before: I've learnt something - Thank you!

And having looked it up on the internet, if 1st Ed T2K could have the LAV-75, I think 4th Ed should have the Strv 141.

Re: Vehicles, kit , etc

Looking at the Wikipedia page for the SA80, it states it entered service in 1985, Infantry (incl, RAF Regt and RM) were to be equipped by 1987, all Army units by 1990, Territorial army by 1993 and all military (incl. RAF and RN) by 1993. The German army was I suspect somewhat bigger, but fully equip...

Go to your account, open 'active pledges' then go to more information.

I pledged as soon as the email came through saying it was live… and was still backer 175. Some very quick acting people out there...

Re: YZE adaptation for Twilight: 2000 gameplay

Reply to Nephron, I agree, but... In principle, I agree. Most shots fired miss. In combat, it seems to me to be mostly fire and movement to get an advantageous position, at which point the enemy retreat, probably with relatively few casualties, unless artillery has been brought in, which seems to be...
