Re: Favourable / Ill - Favoured at the same time?

As far as I can recall, they cancel each other out.

Re: Estelang is Gurthang?

Apart from any other consideration, if Gurthang is buried by Túrin, both of them are under the waves, after the sinking of Beleriand. They're not, actually; the Stone of the Hapless is where he is buried, and Glirhuin prophesied that it would never be defiled by Morgoth, nor sink beneath the sea, w...

Re: What Books Might Come after Moria?

If that’s the case, why didn’t it happen? In an interview, Gareth said, he had to start over with Moria. Plus, publishing doesn’t work like that. The rights for the actual text lies with C7 for 1e. But I also would love to see reprint or planed material for C7 2e. I guess, only stuff that wasn’t al...

Re: What Books Might Come after Moria?

The authors of first edition wrote their texts for C7, who had the rights at the time. So everything they wrote is in limbo, we can assume. Why would Free League start from scratch, if they could have just re-used the material from C7. . On the other hand, Sophisticated Games is the actual licensee...

Re: Play Epic One Shot

Hey Garrett. Haven't heard from you in a while! There's a good chance I'll be working that night, but if not then I might check it out.

Did you make it to UBCon? I didn't see you there but there's not much tabletop gaming at the con anymore either.

Re: The Shire Stories - The Old Took's Theft Affair

Not a bad tale at all, though I question the innovation of the slingshot (a nineteenth century invention that only came into existence with the introduction of vulcanized rubber--Ori from the Hobbit films notwithstanding). The hobbits probably should have been armed with more conventional slings.

Re: The Shire Stories - The Annual Free Fair Incident

Preparations for the Free Fair (mid-summer) always take time and in the story we are more in summer than in spring. The story says "the annual 3-day Free Fair is just around the corner" ... that says it all ... Personally I found the anxiety caused to be fair and very (hobbits qualifier) ...

Re: The Shire Stories - The Annual Free Fair Incident

Would there really be that much anxiety about the Free Fair which would still be a good couple of months away (mid-summer)? It seems a bit early for talk about cancellation. I do get that you are parodying Jaws , it just seems that the adventure should be set in early summer rather than the spring, ...

Re: The Shire Stories - The Fairies Of The Far Downs

The tale makes me wonder about the nature of the swamp-fairy. Is it a nature spirit? Perhaps a minor Ainu who came to inhabit the swamp long ago?

Re: MORIA news

With the book going to print, is there any news when the KS group will see the PDF updated?
