Re: 2e Kickstarter page is up!

The new art is miles, nay, leagues, above what the proposed art for C7's 2e was (from the few previews we had and not counting the new map art that was shown). To me that art looked very generic and also very D&D-like - no offence to D&D art meant, but it does *not* fit in Middle Earth. Thi...

Re: Thoughts on the "Red Ring" design?

I love it. First of all, it surely comes from the way Tolkien himself drawed the Ring for his ideas about the covers: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51zwIlXzbSL._SX328_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg And regarding the silhouette, I tend to think it's the Witch-king of Angmar. The crown seems...

Re: New art revealed

I don't know how many of you know the work of Martin Grip from other titles. But the Symbaroum's page at Fria Ligan's has a link to a bunch of his work for the setting. Check it out, please... and expect to buy Symbaroum afterwards :D https://imgur.com/a/fqHJy . Wow. Impressive. Thanks for sharing.

Re: New art revealed

Thumbs up here so far. I was (am) absolutely in love with 1st Ed general outlook and with John Hodgson’s art (not the same feelings towards other artists’ works). I deeply disliked most of the pictures for the 2nd Ed Cublicle 7 teased us with... generic High Fantasy style spooked me, at least for a ...

Re: Concerning 2nd Edition cultures...

I think it'd be good if the Elves for the 2nd edition corebook are based on the elves of the wandering companies, rather than Grey Havens or Rivendell. Sindarin rather than Noldor. They'd be fairly similar to the wood elves and not as high-powered as Grey Haven/Rivendell elves would be. Wandering c...

Re: The One Ring

Some other info I didn't remember at the time of writing: -Maps will be done by Francesco Mattioli. Check out his maps online, they are a beauty to the eye. -There's the intention to release resources for VTT. As the license forbids to release "electronic games", it seems that whatever Fr...

Re: The One Ring

Sounds all pretty good! I'm looking forward for a Tharbad adventure book (it's strange - I've never even played ICE's "Thieves of Tharbad", but for some reason, the city is etched in my hand as one of those great places of adventure ...); I'm also curious about the "Lidless Eye"...

Re: The One Ring

It's about time that Mithlond got some love. I know, I'm excited! Same here! Drool... Eager for Mithlond visited combined with the Elves of the Grey Havens as a playable culture from the beginning. The idea of developing these two peaceful havens (Mithlond + Rivendell) in a booklet with LM Screen s...

Re: The One Ring

On Sunday the 27th, as part of the Fria Ligan Online Show, there will be an interview with Francesco Nepitello on YouTube. I guess there will be some advances on the status of TOR, so we'll see what we get: "Sunday, 27th... 2:30PM - 3:00PM EDT / 20:30 - 21:00: THE ONE RING - Interview Meet Fra...
