Re: Foundry VTT Weapon Magazines

A bit late but might still be of assistance. I do believe you can assign magazines from the weapons drop down inventory. Naturally the character has to have to mag in inventory then. You pretty much never need to use the "generate ammo", I do it for NPC's though. But to keep track of PC am...

Re: Share your Foundry use ideas

Oh wow... didn't know about that module. Will definitely test it out! Occasionally, when I have wanted to emphasize the long range of modern weaponry, I have just downloaded google earth screenshot and slammed hex grid on top of it, making one hex 50 or even 100 meters. The scaled the turn lenght as...

Re: T2k Support and Publishing Plans

Just watched the recent FL update. https://youtu.be/MmaiWStY80U?t=2116 Was really nice to hear that we might get some glimpse of Hostile Waters this year! Yay! Also the answer by Thomas (time 58:10) referring to the effects of the russian attempted invasion of Ukraine affecting TW support was well f...

Re: Spice up melee?

Leonpoi that is brilliant. I was toying with the idea of making it opposing roll. The damage being inflicted even when defending will speed up H2H dramatically, since basically both the PC and NPC turn will inflict something. Add to that descriptive effects that player wants to achieve (disarming, g...

Re: Spice up melee?

Blocking is a fast action, which is partly what makes the fights drag. I just had one PC have a one on one fistfight with NPC gang leader. Both had brawler btw as awell as pretty good skill levels. With blocking it turned into a way too long dicefest instead of an exciting bout. Yes there were taked...

Re: Spice up melee?

I don't see where in the rules says you can't take a gun and shoot in HTH? Urban Operations, CQC rules, p.18 "Being engaged in close combat has two effects: 1. Neither you nor your opponent can perform any slow actions other than close combat attacks. Fast actions can be performed normally.&qu...

Re: Spice up melee?

Yeah I guess it just falls more into gategory of "GM has to make sense of it." Firefights in general do not have as many options as H2H I guess. I mean you either shoot to kill or to injure or to suppress and then you fill the air with little or lots of lead and thats it. Not that much cre...

Re: Spice up melee?

Guys...like I wrote: "And no, I do not want PC's to be able to perform like a Marvel superhero" I have myself trained/taught defensive tactics for military/LEOs for over 20 years and I have been a bouncer in my youth as well so I have some basic background when it comes to h2h fighting. I ...

Spice up melee?

I have found in my games that close combat (melee) feels a bit janky and slow compared to ranged combat. Now lets push realism to the background for a sec, we all realize there is a pretty big difference between a fistfight and a gunfight. I want to approach the issue from "exiting gameplay&quo...
