Re: Black goo?

Yeah.  Safe bet to say the pathogen was involved in creating the motes, but getting black goo in your ear or up your nose is unlikely to result in a Neomorph.

Re: Trying to make sense of "Xenomorphs"

Cameron had his own take the Aliens.  The big black ones were effectively the same thing as on the Nostromo (sans dome and a couple of other minor differences) and referred to as 'warriors'.  He scripted smaller albino drones that tended the Queen, but they were cut. I don't really get the myriad va...

Re: How much do Weyland-Yutani know?

For example, it's likely the people who were on Ripley's tribunal legitimately didn't know about the Alien but others in the company did.
Pretty sure the only Company people at the tribunal are Ripley and Burke.  Everyone else is ICC, ECA, insurance etc.

Re: How much do Weyland-Yutani know?

The Company would have several million employees.  A handful know about the Aliens.  If David's Advent transmission was received, someone would know about that.  There's no indication anyone knows what happened on LV-223 and only a small number of people would know where Prometheus was even going. ...

Re: Alien films

Although Gibson was writing in 1987 and 1988, the Cold War theme would've instantly dated the flick upon release too once the wall came down in '89. Weaver was initially going to come back for the fourth film, after Hicks and Bishop were front and centre for the third.  Brandywine wanted more cyberp...

I know it's your opinion.  Which is why I said "I disagree" rather than "You are wrong".

There's no need to get so defensive.

Re: Alien films

For example, you say that David is following instructions from Weyland. It's a really feasible explanation, of course; but I didn't see Wayland giving orders to David so I only see an android doing suspicious actions and no character cares about that There's a scene of David talking to Weyland in h...
