Re: Amber Peak-Marigall

Merigall has frequently appeared in both games I've had running in parallel, mainly in the form of Dalb (see Weatherstone, GMG p.217 & p.225). Still, I'd say much of the same behavior I've put forth applies to the genderless form encountered at Amber's Peak. If in this particular form Merigall chose...

Re: Stoneloom Mines 'Player Version' Map - Raven's Purge

Ooh! Can I use it, too? I'm doing this liivestream, so it would be broadcast, possibly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMklywcurJ8&list=PLFmg3IVsGQgh15449u9-7UfEsqunjIIse I obviously have no idea when we might get to the mines, but sooner or later, we will, and this would be great! I don't mind at...

Re: Stoneloom Mines 'Player Version' Map - Raven's Purge

Brior, it was simply fun to try and make it a braggy term for the Meromannians. And I shouldn't be surprised the game makers know of a famous silver mine. :) Most immediately Haggler's House makes me thing of the Globe Theatre, for some reason, but I'll keep scheming about what it and the Eye of the...

Re: Stoneloom Mines 'Player Version' Map - Raven's Purge

Thanks Fenhorn. I will likely end up doing just that...I have this version already. I just interpreted that there was some sort of player version 'mud map', from the text, which would be safe to give them without them seeing the wider workings of the site. I may cobble one together on dungeonfog :)...

Re: Religion and how you use it

(Let me add that you will get more info to ponder in the Aslene expansion.)

Intriguing! Thanks, Brior.

Re: Crypt of the Mellified Mage locations

I placed the Crypt itself in 3Ad (in part because of the geography, hills and mountains as you said, and in part to accentuate it being especially isolated). I'm a little torn with 2 of the others: my players are likely going to be in the Forbidden Lands for quite a while, so even if it takes some s...

Re: WP Farming

For any rolls, for Journeys or otherwise, I follow 2 principles: (1) the principle outlined in the book, "You are allowed to push rolls even after a successful roll, but only if rolling additional SUCCESSES will increase the effect of the roll in some way." [p.44 Player's Handbook] and (2) unless th...

Re: Raven's Purge Calendar

As it is difficult to know which plot lines the characters are aware of at any given time, I would not make such a plan in advance. Instead, I am handling this via sth reminiscend of the Fronts in Dungeon World, where I open a "Front" when the characters get knowledge of a certain plot line and the...

Re: Religion and how you use it

Its arguable the gods don't exist at all. With the bitter reach we can see how some of the myths are just flat out false (potentially). The orcs were not gifts to the elves and dwarves from Wyrm/the raven. The orcs were a slave race magically created/breed by the winter elves. If thats the case the...
