Re: The race for Stanengist and the artefacts

I think the free form nature is great. I think the presentation could use work. As a DM it would be much more helpful to have some flow charts of key information along with 3 or 4 suggestions for how to implement the various aspects of the story. I don't want step by step directions because my playe...

Re: Would "space truckers" have a job post-"Alien"?

As good as Bishop is, he's 1) top of the line and 2) still prone to making some bad decisions or missing things, or otherwise needing guidance. I don't think the synthetics can be entirely trusted to do all aspects of a trip alone. Ash and David are good examples of what goes wrong with synthetics. ...

Re: About to run the game for the first time and need some help.

First, wrong section. You posted under Coriolis which is a sci fi space game set in another galaxy. Your looking for Tales From the Loop farther down. Second, on the surface the Dart/Loop are LHCs. Particle accelerators and atom smashers. It's left vague what ELSE they are, but clearly there is more...

Local government wanting their tax. Including crime lords. Muscling in on other locals buisness trades.

There are reasons they dont just do it. At least not more then a simple trade on the road.

Re: Risk and reward and economics

What something is worth and what someone will pay for it are vastly different things. The players are not tradesmen and they are not preparing a rabbit and it's hide in the way that the various tradesmen would. BUYING a whole rabbit is worth 14 copper. Selling a hunted rabbit to a town so the leathe...

Re: Ranks for crew on ships etc.

Burke was a tag along to advise to company interests and observe as the military were doing an operation on one of their colony worlds. In aliens nobody but the military has any rank or position on the sulaco and its related vehicles. Everyone else is a civilian consultant. Also, note that EVERYONE ...

Re: Willpower and why to push rolls

I think that’s a valid approach to take. For agility damage from picking locks you could put it down to cramping and general exhaustion if you wanted to keep it to the default pairing. The lock picks/dagger are already at risk from pushing and if the character doesn’t have them perhaps it’s an impo...
