Re: Population

RIght! It's my mistake! ;-) Indeed I find that 40km/day is a bit quick! and makes the map short... In addition, it gives really few villages because they must be at least 3hexes distant in that case... During the mist, villages were isolated, and people never went more than half a day travel from th...

Re: Errata for published game

Player's Handbook p. 184, in the trade goods list, Cauldron: "Gear Bonus +1 when cooking Food". The general talent Chef does not ask for any skill to be rolled when preparing Food, so at least one of the descriptions needs to be fixed. Hi! Indeed. The Cauldron should instead say: "Lets a chef cook ...

About cooking stuffs

Hello! I create this topic in response to another in the ERRATA part of the forum...     Tomas:     Hi!     Indeed. The Cauldron should instead say: "Lets a chef cook 2D6 units of food in a Quarter Day (instead of just D6 units)" Okay, then you don't ask for a roll to cook meal, if I understand well...

Rasmus: Yep,  totally agree! In fact, it is the reason why I share my thoughts ;) I try to get those of other GM, in order to get mine stronger. and you gave me your best argument in the topic about food and animals ^^ I don't need no more to have huge citie among the land. It was pretty hard to gro...

Re: Alderland and technology

To me it's just the opposite... about science and magic. My reasons: 1- magic caster are a "higher" class in the society, that may hold status by power. 2- low people goes to depend on magic casters... and it's often a problem 3- science motive : give knowlegde to everybody, versus the secretive cul...

Re: Animals, food, and zoology

On another note, since the blood mist only kept people from staying away from home at night I assume smaler settlements had access to enough productive land to provide provisions for villagers and their livestock. Personally I use the blood mist as an explanation for why communities max out on 400 ...

Re: Ravenland rather than Forbidden lands

I suppose the name Ravenland occured when the humans first arrived from the sea. They named the land after the Raven God since he brought them to it. When the land was divided they made upp a new name for the south part. Come to think of it, Elvenspring in Vivend would probably still call it Ravenl...

Re: Horses and resources

I agree Rotenborgaren. Mount hold many stuffs and allows pc to travel far and quickly. It's something that need to bé remembered to them, by making them Real. Then if i prefer to tell them to not forget to think about their mount, but for herbivorous, in grassland or in forest, i think they Can mana...

Re: Population

Yep, i thought that i would offend some with such a change... But it's hard to me to manage Ravenland as such a small Land... :-/ I don't look such for a realistic setting, but i look for a coherence i feel i Can manage ^^' I mean, survival stay something about we need to understand. And i don't fee...

Re: Animals, food, and zoology

To me, children are immune to the while they Bear no risponsibility. Because responsibilty leads to fear (loss, fail, etc.) And if they handle thé herd, they Can grow such a feeling, then feel unsafe outside (regarding their parents) then being preyed on by thé bloodlings. For me children is "too yo...
