Re: Problems of Setting

Barb was barely an older person, being part of the group that three of the older main characters came from. Or are we just focusing on Eleven and the boys?  I don't think the point is to kill the Kids, but the real danger of their actions should be considered and made aware to the Kids, if not by g...

Re: Items

My impression of Swedish culture is that there are many more guns than here. Much like America. Unlike America, they tend to the hunting rifles but even here I've had access to shotguns and air rifles. What's the status of Army Cadet forces? We have them here. It would be a sub-class of "Jock" I gue...

Re: The ALPHA PDF - questions, comments, errata

There was a great app called Onotate which was for people to preview texts and comment on whether they liked bits or where there were mistakes. That would be perfect for proofreading this sort of project.

(Apparently all the cool kids use Invisionapp now)

Re: Problems of Setting

Off the topic of the science stuff, but.. what made you guys decide to make the kids unable to be killed? That takes away some of the danger originally presented in this world. I think it's genre-appropriate.  In most of the movie influences, the children do not die. There is one in Stranger Things...

Re: The ALPHA PDF - questions, comments, errata

Gonna post my errata here. And update. P55, Grey Box. Extra text "about what seems plausible" P63, Grey Box. "Christine" P63, main text "beached" might be better as "stranded" P63, main text. "DAPRA" should be "DARPA" P65, grey box. "dad has locked" should be "Dad has locked" P88, main text about Pe...

Re: House Rule Playing Younger kids

Yes. And the younger kids will have way more restrictions and less freedom, early bedtimes, less places and things adults will yet younger kids go and do. Even at a carnival little kids are generally restricted to the kiddie rides, even if they were brave enough to try the twisted devil rollercoast...

Re: House Rule Playing Younger kids

IMO, the younger kids are an excellent way of getting the players into the story. They can then be sidelined as the players get into the meat.

Re: Classes

Not bad. I'd love to play the campaign that slowly unravels the story of how the Bible kid, the Roleplay geek, and the Stoner became friends while searching for the answers to a common mystery :D Well, some Bible Kids are role-players and some Stoners are role-players :)  And their exploits down un...
