Re: Hemenway Walmart

I'm guessing that Matt Forbeck just wrote the chapter on the US Loop, and didn't localize the adventures as there's things in there that anyone who grew up in the US would likely catch as being out of place. Like Public Libraries here don't close during the summer, they actually tend to get busier ...

Mälar Islands map

The legend is pretty clear. The only bridge connection is in the SE corner. Please not that the distance ruler is off; it should be 2.3 km, not 5 km.

Re: Some thoughts on the book...

People in their teens playing TFtL are less removed from the 1980's than people like me (born in 1965) playing Call of Cthulhu in a 1920's setting. Like Karbonara said, some modern technologies aren't available, just like it's even more analog in the first half of the 20th century. Good roleplayers ...

Re: Map scale goof

For the map in the rulebook, 1 cm = 770 m.

The Boulder City map scale is correct.

Re: Map scale goof

Here are the new dimensions of the particle accelerators: Prim-1: diameter 14.4 km, circumference 45.2 km Prim-2: diameter 11.1 km, circumference 34.9 km Aux: diameter 8.5 km, circumference 26.7 km It's still a very impressive facility, where the auxiliary accelerator has the same circumference as t...

Map scale goof

Someone in the Facebook TFtL group pointed out an error on the map that no one has spotted before, and which originates in the maps provided in the art books. The distance ruler is off, showing distances as twice as long. It should show 2.5 kilometers (give or take 30 meters or so) instead of 5 km, ...

Re: The Electric State

The Electric State series of illustrations suggest a civil war, with the rotting hulks of magnetrine warships, the references to the Pacifica State, and the general sense of collapse. Something made the West Coast break away from the rest of the US. Could it have been an attempt to protect itself fr...

Things From the Flood setting

While TftL mainly takes place on the Mälar islands, there are more references to the mainland in "Things From the Flood", like the Krafta HQ, the radio telescopes, the tower apartment blocks, and so on. The Greater Stockholm neighborhoods of Hässelby, Järfälla, Vällingby, etc, are just across the wa...
