Re: Weeks discovered to be “not a thing”?

Given the flavor of the setting, each day would begin at sunset the way two Semitic religions observe time on our current dirtball.

Re: Official multimedia

There's this heavily footnoted full franchise list . It contains the films, various cross-over & web series, stage, video releases, novels, comics, books, video games, board games, and even a couple of rpgs (including the up-coming game from our favorite publisher I just added). If you're waiting fo...

Re: Sets of paper miniatures and battle mats for Coriolis

Coriolis is ... not as old or fleshed out as Pathfinder/Starfinder, Forgotten Realms and the like that have lots of splat books and illustrated monster stats.  Coriolis isn't publishing an adventure path a month. The quality percentile of all published material from FL is 96%+. The quality of perce...

Space Trucker, for sure.  8-)

I like the mention of Colonial Marshals... Outland immediately springs to mind (a film loaded with potential, but never really mates with its concept).
Add the W-Y logo to stuff in that film and it's a perfect fit for the rpg.

The Future Isn't New

Ostensibly, a blog about typeface and design, but it only uses that to explore far deeper.

Excellent for atmosphere and creating a tactile feel for the game universe.

Re: Alien take on MYZ-engine

There are no gear dice as such in Alien

I know.
Just think it's a great feature in the MYZ engine.
And there might a gear breakage system house ruled in our games. :-)

Re: The Space Jockeys

I would prefer the original feeling from the first movie - shit, the ‘space jockey’ is fossilized - must be millions of years old! From where, what is it, how the hell did it end up here, why the cargo? No backstory - just an enigma that has enthralled me and million others for close to 40 years (a...

Re: Victorypoints

The idea is to reward players for following their agendas to create a cool story (that might even contain conflict between players), not to "win" the game. Thank you. RPGs are not conducive to "winning" and "losing". As CoC  has taught us for almost 40 years, death does not mean you lost the game a...
