Re: Help for a character with 18 strength TN

Re. Battle rolls, I don't see anything in the rules on how to obtain "Greater advantage - Gain (2d)". How well you roll seems to only affect the duration of the advantage (ordinary success: next attack; superior success: remainder of battle). You could be kind and give the Hobbit +(1d) by ...

Re: Being inspired

From page 20 of the core rules... "HOPE BONUS: A Player-hero about to make a die roll can spend 1 Hope point to gain (1d)." "INSPIRATION: An Inspired Player-hero who spends 1 Hope point to get a Hope bonus gains (2d), instead of (1d)." So yes, you must spend 1 Hope to invoke th...

Re: I'm considering making Personal Medkits last longer.

In a solo campaign I was doing a while back one of the characters used a personal medkit to treat a civilian who was ill with fever in exchange for some help. I am wondering now if that would even be feasible. These personal medkits appear to be only useful for trauma.

Re: I'm considering making Personal Medkits last longer.

How about rolling a d6 each use: 1-3: mark with * on char sheet, 4-5: mark with ** on char sheet, 6: completely used. If marked with ***, completely used (i.e. maximum of 3 uses depending on rolls). Considered that but it's just my 3 use idea with more steps. I didn't see mention of 3 uses in your ...

Re: I'm considering making Personal Medkits last longer.

What would a real personal medkit contain? I would imagine it contains some items that can be used more than once but also some items that are one use only. Re: Group Recon -roll alternatives?

I read the article you linked to and one of its main complaints was the skewing of odds when all characters make a Skill roll - i.e., if they must all succeed the probability of this is very low, and if only one must succeed the probability of this is very high. Thankfully, T2K4 don't suffer from th...

Re: Defensive stance : what malus ?

rolling their attack normally would suggest to me an attack identical to that which they would make if they were trying to inflict damage - i.e. -(3d) if engaged with three opponents. If everyone but you is either wounded/killed or has fled from Rearward stance leaving you behind, you're on your ow...

Re: Defensive stance : what malus ?

The rule text that you put in your post is your own house rule, isn't it ? When I read the core book, I don't have the same text than you. I see the same rule text under "Fly, you fools!" (core rules p104) so I think your version is out of date. [EDIT] I see it in the printed rulebook too.
