Re: T2k Support and Publishing Plans

but I imagine they are concerned about discussions and new releases for the game being picked up in the press and taken out of context. Which would be a valid concern, for sure. But you have to imagine it, because they haven't said one way or the other. And so the customers are left in the dark abo...

Re: Food and Bases: Not workable?

It's a modified version of "Cooking" (p148 in the Player's Handbook) but with spoiling the food as a result of failure rather than having to track that particular piece of food because of food poisoning (which is a very bookkeeping heavy rule I don't like at all)

Re: Food and Bases: Not workable?

OK so after doing a bit of google research and talking it over with the group, we've come up with this as an additional base facility: Pickling/Preserving Plant You have constructed facilities for pickling, brining, drying, or salting food. Spend a shift and roll Survival (Cook). You convert 2d6 wil...

Re: Food and Bases: Not workable?

As I said in the OP, I can wing it just fine - I was looking for rules that allowed salting/drying/pickling/preserving/ any mechanic which preserves food for more than a month . Looks like there aren't any, in the book, which is a very odd decision given it's supposed to be a post-apocalyptic surviv...

Re: Food and Bases: Not workable?

Been thinking about this a bit more and you can stretch it out a little bit further by having multiple fields and harvesting one per month So each month, for 3 or 4 months, harvest a field, convert to domestic food, store in the Root Cellar, eat it. And for the other 7-8 months of the year..... the ...

Food and Bases: Not workable?

Hey folks, So pulling from various sources in the Players Manual: Page 131: Food and Drink Domestic Food: ...needs to be consumed within a week, or it will spoil. Wild Food: ...Spoils after one week. (the difference between them is that Domestic Food is "processed"/cooked and weighs half a...

Re: First session issue...

Or, you know, let your player x-card themselves out of the campaign if they are uncomfortable with the subject matter. That is a valid choice and deserves recognition and respect. This. If they feel up to it, let them sit in without playing to get a feel for how the game is run. If not, that's cool...

Re: Very Detailed Example of Combat

Ammo dice, can be used to hit another target... Ah ok, I've been getting that wrong. Ah, yep...page 66 of the final version of the rulebook (emphasis added by me) If your attack hits (checking only the base dice), each on your ammo dice can be used to either increase damage (each increases the dama...
