Re: T2000 Variant Campaigns

Back in the day we ended up playing more Merc2000 than twilight 2000 The group was a mix between mission impossible and A team. A private contracting group that operated just slightly on the wrong side of the law but also took government contracts so where allowed to operate. Took place in modern da...

Re: Firearm familiarity question

I think the solution I like is two part. To gain familiarity you need study it for a long action of an hour or two where you basically either field strip and reassemble or otherwise handle it to figure out how to clean unjam maintain etc. requires a successful tech role. Maybe at -1 if a really comp...

Re: Miniatures

I love miniature building authorities 28mm vehicles and have always wanted an excuse to buy one. But based on the scale of the hexes. I’d either use my team yankee minutatures Or the micro armor stuff I picked up a while ago

Re: Ammo Dice...why?

I guess my question is about how people would be able to maintain high fire rates for long. Your not going to be getting a lot of resupply and I don’t know how common the gear to reload your own ammo in Poland. I guess the assumption is there’s ton of ammo available and the players will always be ab...

Re: Recommended books for inspiration?

While a sci-fi setting I think some of David drakes hammer slammer series could be fun to read as it mostly deals with small squad adventures and some of the ugliness of war. Red storm rising would be my obvious first choice as mentioned above. The group trying to survive in Iceland especially seems...

China Asia involvement

I read through the history section of the rule books with my wife. She wanted to know what happened with China and Japan. I didn’t see any references to either country. We’re they able to stay out of it? And for the most part my wife liked your storyline. There were a few areas she hmpphed but overa...

Re: Firearm familiarity question

Fair reply. Although I’d argue they had been at war for three years it sounds like the final supply chains and command structure just collapsed at the beginning of the campaign. So I’m not sure if they would have actually used other weapons that much yet or stuck with their reapply chains. And I hav...

Firearm familiarity question

Just a thought and maybe covered elsewhere. The way I read it the ranged combat skill basically lets you pick up any basic pistol or long arm and start using it. So the American soldier finds an ak and can use it just as well as his m16. I’m wondering if switching firearms would require familiarizin...

Re: Ammo Dice...why?

I tend to run a fairly dark and high threat game. Most of the battles are chase or hit n run. Until they can get a base of operations or move far enough away from the collapsed front. So taking the time to loot their opponents may not be something they can rely on. I want it to feel like a collapsed...
