There are three types of T-80 in the mid 1990s – T-80B, T-80U and T-80UD. The T-80 were only in the western regions against NATO. In 1990. There were 3735 T-80B, 617 T-80BV, 410 T-80U and 500 T-80UD. T-64 stats

Suggested changes to 4th edition T-64 To simplify things there are two variants of T-64 by the mid 1990s - T-64A which includes rebuilt T-64 and the T-64B. They have very similar game stats in any case. It was the first service tank with 'special' armour, although only the frontal aspect. Turret fro...

T-62 game stats - from a certain point of view

This is some suggested game stats changes for the Russian T-62. Players Manual, pg 113 The T-62 115mm cannon was the first in world with APFSDS rounds. It never had a APDS round. 1) Replace 115mm APDS with APFSDS 2) Armor goes from 0 to -1 Players Manual, page 120 and page 122 Fuel capacity is 675 l...

Re: Infantry Squads

AKS-74U should probably be treated as a carbine which is a -1 instead of -2 modifier in the same hex (Players Manual, page 63). It cannot mount a bayonet or GP-25 grenade launcher. AK-74M has folding stock and all have provision for a sight bracket. Its possibly the standard Russian Army rifle in Me...

Re: Infantry Squads

Each tank carries 10 or 20 hand grenade and one AKMS or AKS-74 with 300 rounds (10 magazines), although all probably have PM pistols. Each RPG-7 gunner and assistant has 5 RPG rockets This source has one spare seat in an BMP-2 being empty: https://thesovietarmourblog.blogspot.com/2016/05/bmp-2.html ...

Re: Infantry Squads

Isby's Weapons and Tactics of the Soviet Army has: SVD was issued one per platoon. Issued to one rifleman in one of the squads. In Afghanistan some units had one SVD per squad. Squad numbers varied - BTR units tended to have more numbers than BMP units, same for support weapons. BMP squad (no fire t...
