Re: Initiative: Needing More Than 10 Cards

I just use the Savage Worlds initiative system. I dislike small decks as they get difficult to effectively shuffle.

Re: Standees - Storage and Transportation

I pop them back in the frame and then put a bunch of stuff in the box with the frame to keep the standees from falling out. If you have one, a document protector or comic bag can help to keep everything together if they do come loose.

Re: Long list of Rules Questions

Falling (p.53) from e.g. 11 meters, results in 5.5D6 round down to 5D6 damage. Then, if the ACROBATICS roll succeeds, it "reduces the number of dice by half (rounded up)". That means the reduction is 5/2 = 2.5 => 3, so 5-3 = 2D6 damage, or the RESULTING dice to roll is 3D6 damage? You tak...

Re: Vehicle Ammunition

The disconnect is that cargo numbers just don't add up with the ammo counts on vehicles I'm professionally familiar with. I'm wondering if anyone else has the same experience and how they've resolved it. <shrug>

Vehicle Ammunition

A notable piece of missing data in the various vehicles is how much ammo they can carry. In many cases, this might be somewhat extrapolated from their Cargo ratings, but once you get into tank ammo and the ITV's Cargo --, things break down. How has the community dealt with this? On the one hand, I w...

Re: Lets Talk About Gun Shields (and Additional Armor)

I am looking for this info myself and this is what I've come up with in the interim. I chose Armor 3 to be consistent with UAHs and the like, but I can also see an Armor 4 type given sandbags' rating, particularly if you want to add field guns like the D30 to your game. Gun shields for pintle mounts...

Re: Artillery Attacks

Thanks. I'm also looking for a rule that artillery attacks the top, like Javelins do. "I know it exists," but it might not under an assumption that time fuzes and such are no longer available and artillery is only impact detonating. (Unrelated to the OP, this is why my houseruled HMMWV arm...

Artillery Attacks

I'm trying to find a rule "I am sure exists" stating that artillery and other overhead attacks are resisted by a vehicle's rear armor (outside the special note for the Javelin.) Any assistance?

I had purpose-built, modular chargers in HMMWVs in time for the Twilight War.

Re: Naming conventions people versus kin

To be consistent, they all should follow the same naming conventions.
They should not. We are not that consistent in the real world.
...we don't call the mallard duckkin.
Nope, just Ducks (or Anatanthropus donaldi) if we're getting back to our RuneQuest roots. ;)
