Re: What is the paper quality of the core rulebook and other supplements?

Game books are technical manuals, not art books. The only reason I despise AD&D2e is this. I should be able to pencil in notes and errata and remove or change them as needed. And then there is black glossy, like Blade Runner, because it's "stylish." That's indelible fingerprints waitin...

Re: Action to deploy a Bipod

Bipod (and tripods, et al.): There is no stated action to prepare heavy weapons to fire, but I would assign a slow action to deploy a bipod based on the time requirements of other actions. I would require more to deploy a tripod and mount a weapon to it, based on personal experience with different s...

Re: Party Balance

As always, if the party chooses not to have healing, they choose not to have healing. They are responsible for the consequences, not the GM who didn't change their encounters to cater to that choice. Respect the players' choices and give them what they asked for! ;)

Re: On the subject of Vehicle stats.

That's just it, those are travel speeds. Does the vehicle's design require it to make more stops, either for mechanical or crew requirements? Is one vehicle better configured for hardball travel, via tires, suspension, etc.? Do the national doctrine and regulations for road march speeds and such inf...

Re: On the subject of Vehicle stats.

Top speed doesn't mean the vehicle easily stays at that top speed. It's cute that you have stats that say a HMMWV will do 70 MPH. The speedometer only goes to 60 and I've never gotten one up that fast and it takes effort to keep it above 50. Likewise with many of the other vehicles. Unknown what usi...

Re: Initiative: Needing More Than 10 Cards

I just use the Savage Worlds initiative system. I dislike small decks as they get difficult to effectively shuffle.

Re: Standees - Storage and Transportation

I pop them back in the frame and then put a bunch of stuff in the box with the frame to keep the standees from falling out. If you have one, a document protector or comic bag can help to keep everything together if they do come loose.

Re: Long list of Rules Questions

Falling (p.53) from e.g. 11 meters, results in 5.5D6 round down to 5D6 damage. Then, if the ACROBATICS roll succeeds, it "reduces the number of dice by half (rounded up)". That means the reduction is 5/2 = 2.5 => 3, so 5-3 = 2D6 damage, or the RESULTING dice to roll is 3D6 damage? You tak...

Re: Vehicle Ammunition

The disconnect is that cargo numbers just don't add up with the ammo counts on vehicles I'm professionally familiar with. I'm wondering if anyone else has the same experience and how they've resolved it. <shrug>
