Other than throwing the combat system way off balance, this doesn't seem to accomplish much. The ammo dice describe your whole turn. As it was an add-on, I don't think it was shared during pre-release.

However in drivethruRPG I only received the weapon cards add-on, even though I'm pretty sure I got (ordered) the referee screen as well.

Very few people died "on the spot" or immediately after, directly from the radiation itself, even at a place and activities such as Chernobyl (huge intense hotspot), it's estimated at ~50 people. The whole "get a cancer in 10-20 years and die prematurely huge range of casualties is beyond the game'...

In a way it is saying that small stoppages are dealt with abstractly and are just assumed as part of normal firing (failure to eject, missing round in a belt) - sure the weapon stops but it’s simple to sort out.
