Re: Beta - Damage and Trauma

Changing the names of the conditions would just make them less understandable and more confusing for your average player. I get where you're getting at, but "Alcoholism" clearly conveys to the reader what the condition is about. They understand that the character will be trying to drown their worrie...

Re: Beta - Damage and Trauma

Also about empathy and personal connections reducing risk of mental health/breakdowns. I think this may be the case if you compare social outcasts/loners to regular people that have some close friends they care about. However I do not think someone who makes it their business to care for everyone an...

Re: Beta - Damage and Trauma

He used to be such a nice guy, but he failed too many INT/EMP roles and now he is a Psychopath seems a bit... off. Much of the recent psychology research shows that empathy helps shield people from Mental Illness, not make them more likely to suffer it. I can only see one mental trauma that could b...

Re: Beta Feedback - Referee's Manual Chapter 3 Encounters

What is this PP mark? I don't remember ever seeing that anywhere.
I think it's the [campfire] symbol on the next page (page 37), but it is indeed not spelled out what "PP" means, neither is is specified whether or not the [campfire] symbol is the "PP" symbol on page 37.

Re: Beta - Close Combat & Reliability

Players Manual Chapter 4 Page 62 If your weapon breaks in an attack, it does so after the attack is resolved. Read more about damage to gear and repairs on page 91. This seems to imply that you end that attack, deal the damage to enemy, then your weapon breaks. So you will not be unarmed during you...

Re: Beta - Damage and Trauma

The part where highly empathetic people are more receptive to the hell that is war makes sense to me, facing the horrors of reality with your pink coloured glasses ripped off can be jarring. However one skill that lies in a weird place is Medical Aid. I understand why it's there, however in many cas...

Re: Changelog

I get why, and I guess support it, but I think it's a shame all those education paths lost Recon and got nothing to replace it with! I thought it was VERY odd that liberal arts major got a recon skill along with many of the other civilian paths. The skill as described in the manual is very specific...

Re: Changelog

Well, it doesn't quite do that any more since you still get 6 chances of getting that extra success but you only risk wrecking your gear on a pushed roll. With 6 ammo dice you get a fairly good chance of a success and chances are you never need to push the roll since you already got your success. I...

Re: Changelog

Yeah the edge cases with low magazine size and high ROF are kind of weird, however I guess you are right in that the higher chance of wrecking your gear kind of balances out the extra ammo dice.

Re: Beta Feedback - Player's Manual Chapter 4 Combat

Base Dice also represent a bullet so a hit with with your Base Dice and with one Ammo Success actually represent two bullets so you must have at two bullets left in the magazine in order to keep that Ammo Success. Perhaps this could be clarified. This does not fit with the ROF of the double barrele...
