Re: "Time limit" in Council

Keep in mind, that Councils (and Skill endeavors) got revised in Ruins of the lost realm). A resistance of 9 is for advanced heroes actually easier to achieve than a resistance of 3.

Re: Npc adventurers

Depends on how important they are. Do you want them as full members of the group for a long time? You could just create normal characters for them and treat them as player heroes. If one of the other heroes is knocked out or not in the scene, another player could roll dice for them. If they are not ...

Re: Reprints of TOR 2e

Given the fact, that the PDFs of the Core book and the Stater set were updated recently, i would assume, a new printing included all updates.

Re: Convince me Load/Endurance is fun

Well, if you read the sources, the weary condition seems appropriate. I like it, because it’s an easy way to track weariness. And don’t forget, only 1,2,3 don’t count on a d6, which means, a really good roll is still a really good roll, which is fun. The malus isn’t absolute, it depends how the play...

Re: Free League announces The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying for 5E

Although not being a big fan of D&D 5, I have zero problem with the upcoming game and I wish all involved all the best and success with this project. D&D was highly influenced by The Lord of the Rings. I mean, most of the cultures and classes are directly drawn from Tolkien’s Middle-earth. S...

Re: The Singer on the Shore

I thought the Singer to be Maglor, the (possibly) last surviving son of Feanor, who throw a Silmarill into the sea and then kept walking the shores of Middle-earth.

Re: Throwing Knives

Personally I would't allow an Opening Volley with a dagger. The range is too limited. Other than that, just use the Dagger skill, the weapon is low key as it is, with minimum damage and and piercing blow possibility. Heroes can carry as many daggers as seems fitting. But if you need a limit, I'd add...

There were some information about AiME in the Free League update. If I remember correctly, Tomas said, it is on a good way, but no release date yet.

Old material from C7 can’t be used for a new version, it has to be new text and new art, just like TOR.

Re: (Probably) a silly question about Wounds

I stumbled across this particular paragraph too. It is a bit unclear, but I read it as referring to the first wound and then add 10 days. But maybe others can help here clear this up?

Re: (Probably) a silly question about Wounds

Interesting question! In this case the healing roll is to prevent the hero from dying. I neither have the book nor the pdf im front of me, but I‘ll check.
