Re: A character sheet, but for your vehicle...

I think, T2K is not a system that encourages to many rules details. It clogs the abstract mechanics and disables fast paced action. And since that's where this system shines, adding very arbitrarily designed extra dice rolls that are themselves only rough abstractions, adds nothing important to the ...

Which makes sense in a certain way: If you hit destroyed wheels (i. e. tires, rim, wheel base etc.), once it's torn to pieces, this is a pretty external part that wouldn't allow penetrating bullets to go anywhere more "internal". I think that'll work for me as an explanation at least.

And honestly if you're not firing them out of real guns then you're missing all of the drama
I understand. And do you recommend .50 BMG for more "readability"?

Re: A character sheet, but for your vehicle...

EDIT: A suggestion for improvement would be to set up the M2 info as a separate layer in the pdf for those trucks with Mk19s or TOWs or the like. Or even some of the MP units that are still stuck with M60s. I second this motion. Here are the relevant symbols for reference: https://www.globalsecurit...

Re: Bullet-shaped d6s for ammo dice?

I play Warfighter occasionally, but find these dice hard to read. They also tend to not stand still easily and need to roll straight, but hardly tumble. So they cannot be used with dice cups, towers or even small felt boards many people like to use.

Re: Fuel Tank hits... how to interpret?

I'd say it can happen several times, but personally I would cap it to probably 3 consecutive hits since the loss is at some point negligible: i. e. if you start loosing 1/32th etc. of the original amount of fuel, it's more paperwork than milliliters.

Re: Foundry Character Log In

Don't USE FIREFOX! It has big issues with Foundry. A couple of my players had the same issue but when they used Chrome or Edge they did not. Is this just personal experience or something others experienced, too, or is known to the developers of Foundry VTT? Because on the Foundry website, Firefox i...

Re: Damage from firearms

Can't say that it is particularly hard to get two successes, especially if you are using 1-2 ROF and is pushing your skill roll. The pushing mechanics is a core mechanics in YZE-games, not only does it increase your chance to hit a lot it also increases your chance of getting more than one success....

I'm dating myself here, but if you go back to wargaming in the 70s and early 80s, many of the games use the A,B and C designation for BMPs (or just BMP). Sigh, time to go lie down, I guess It's probably an misconstructed adaption for land vehicles of how NATO reporting names (https://en.wikipedia.o...

Re: Recommended books for inspiration?

Arc Light is my favorite of the techno-thriller genre. The quality of writing is by and large much better than most of the competition. Yes! That was my impression, too. I started my reading with RSR by Clancy, like most did, probably, and I still find it okay with lots of good mixed in. But I was ...
