Re: Bout of Madness AITA?

That's often a good approach: "Apologies, missed this element of the rules." Plus as noted above, it turns what might have been an OOC issue in to an interesting source of tension in-character, but without ill-feeling OOC. "A madness took me, but it has passed" - someone can give...

Re: Bout of Madness AITA?

So long as the thieving character returns the bow to the intended recipient (as Famous Arms/Armour are designed for a specific character) "To play out a bout of madness, players must describe how their characters lose control for a short period of time, doing something they will later regret .&...

Re: Strider mode and combat tasks

- Rally Comrades can include yourself (perhaps you're a Ranger using Royalty Revealed!) "On a successful roll, all members of the Company fighting in a Forward stance gain (1d) on their attack rolls in the following round. If the roll produces a single Success icon , then also all those fightin...

Re: Hideous Toughness

Agreed Rafamir, and this order is similar to that for PCs, where they take a protection test first due to any piercing blow, then suffer the endurance damage (which might mean you aren't yet Weary when you take the Endurance test!). Dwarf killing things quickly: sounds right to me, a big weapon, Gri...

Re: Peoples of Wilderland drivethrurpg

Ruins of the Lost Realms isn't available there either.
I think it's due out this "fall" according to recent announcements. Presumably coming very soon for non-kickstarter backers, they're maybe just waiting a little to try to get a few more physical copies out to Kickstarter backers. :)

Re: Help for a character with 18 strength TN

Re. Battle rolls, I don't see anything in the rules on how to obtain "Greater advantage - Gain (2d)". How well you roll seems to only affect the duration of the advantage (ordinary success: next attack; superior success: remainder of battle). The table on p102 is helpful in determining wh...

Re: Help for a character with 18 strength TN

- With a low strength she has Heart of 7 or 6, which means plenty of hope to spend on attacks as she recovers so much hope per adventure. Means c58% chance to hit TN 18, or 49% if the opponent has parry +1. - Use Enhearten and Rally comrades. She’s need to have invested a little in Enhearten as it s...

Re: Magical success on Travel rolls

Oh, was the question how to mechanically implement it? I thought they were asking what it would mean in the fiction. I think it was more mechanically focused, based on this: "How would you rule him getting magical successes on things like marching tests or rolling to reduce fatigue at the end ...
