Re: Hunting for some adventures

There are pdf copies of Theft of the moon kicking around on the internet, but I think as it was written by Jacob Rodgers who is involved on Free League's The One Ring Line (and worked when C7 published it too) there may be some wariness around distributing it widely. Sorry that I can't provide a cop...

Re: About Virtues

Similarly, I'd be pretty relaxed about somebody adding Mastery for a second time.

An alternative is to an Prowess for an attribute that covers two or more of the desired favoured skills (as you'd have 7 favoured if you chose Mastery twice).

Re: Shield bash

Ah, I see. I'd have the penalty applied before any protection test, consistent with the pierce special damage option being applied before checking for protection tests. p98's order supports this too: "A successful attack roll inflicts damage on its target in the form of an Endurance Loss based ...

Re: Shield bash

Resurrecting this thread, in a situation where I score a Piercing blow and am able to inflict Shield Thrust, would we rule that the 1d penalty applies to the Protection Roll against the Piercing Blow? Yes, I would apply the penalty. Shield thrust doesn’t say anything about the penalty only applying...

Re: New Loremaster questions (yes, open to everyone)

"I was going to run the Troll adventure from the newest book (In English) and when I did a test combat with them, I realized they would demolish the players. How long will it take to get players to a level where they can do that adventure? (Yes, I know that initially they are trying to capture....

Re: How to determine Character's Age?

You’ll find suggested ages in the text of the characteristics section for most cultures. As noted above, there’s a degree of freedom here to choose an age that suits your character concept. Hope this helps! :)

Re: Late Pledge for Moria: how to?

Have you tried doing it from a desktop computer/laptop? I've just tried making a late pledge (selecting the standard TOR edition, via the red "pledge kr398") button and then it was able to register me as a new user and didn't ask for a back number etc.

Re: Barding character creation help

Marriage/betrothal is often a good route to giving a character local links. Whether it is a Barding married to a Bree-dweller, or a High Elf betrothed to a Wood Elf Prince/Princess, it is a good route to explaining why a character is in a particular region. Not only that, it gives them a stake in wh...
