Re: GMG Questions

1. Take a look at page 16. 2. References to the core rules refer to books published by the first party publisher (i.e. not us). Discussions of creating encounters using the core rules is beyond the scope of the OGL and SRD (i.e. what we can use). 3. Anything not specified as different is the same as...

Re: The d8 Hit Dice

It's the same thing, reversed. But instead there's a single origin with a d6 that is sticking out like a sore thumb while everyone else has a d8 (and two get to take the higher result of rolling twice), instead of having a greater variety of hit dice. . Re: Alpha Feedback - Player's Guide Section 5 Resources

Page 193: Maybe I read it too briefly, but how is your Burning Hands different from the official spell? Page 194: Hellish Rebuke. Same as with Burning Hands, I cannot see what it is you have changed. . There are no spell slots in Ruins of Symbaroum so the language regarding upcasting the spell has ...

Re: Alpha Feedback - Player's Guide Section 4 Classes & Feats

If a text isn't necessary wrong, but I think it could be made more clear, should it be stated here or in a separate post?
Edits for clarity are fine, as is bringing something to our attention that we might want to rephrase.

Re: Alpha Feedback - Player's Guide Section 4 Classes & Feats

Let's make sure we keep these pinned threads for actual issues with the Alpha PDF. Alternative/homebrew rules are fantastic but need their own thread.

All of the input is very appreciated and we'll be balancing out all of our goals and limitations as we work to provide the very best presentation of the Symbaroum setting through the lense of the 5e...

Re: Corruption Threshold?

109 is correct. (Most) Mystics spend time learning how to manage Corruption and thus have a higher threshold.

Re: Corruption Rules

Very important note: your roll to trigger the Mark of Corruption is not the result you use on the table for the Marks of Corruption. If you trigger your character gaining a Mark then you roll another d20 to determine what the Mark is. And the effects last for at least 24 hours after you reduce your ...

Re: Burdens

You'll notice that in the paragraph that introduces burdens that they are both marked out as optional (noted as being even more optional than feats themselves) and a source of inspiration for roleplaying. Some players will love the chance to mechanically represent a consequence of some terrible trag...

Re: Alpha Feedback - Player's Guide Section 3 Character Origins

page 91 "undead You do not naturally heal during a long rest, instead you must either drink blood or consume raw flesh during a long rest to restore your single Hit Die, which you can then use to regain hit points or reduce temporary Corruption ", but, as i understand it, undead do not accrue tempo...
