Re: Blocking - Loss of Action

I am still toying with the idea of "spotlight" initiative, where the action just unfolds according to GM directing who goes next. The most exciting and fluid combat encounters I have had have used the spotlight initiative. But the thing is, that those games usually ran on Forged in the Dar...

Re: I'd like FL to release more battle maps

More maps would definitely be appreciated. Realistic "Post-apo" -maps that do not look like they are made for Fallout are hard to come by in general. To make matters worse the scale of TW isn't exactly very common in maps. Luckily since I play VTT it is pretty easy to add some items on the...

Re: Battle Maps and Elevations

I don't think those are elevations. My take is that they are just artistic decisions to make the "grass/field" more varied to look at. In general the polish and swedish countrysides are pretty flat overall. And despite where your game takes place the area on the maps (150 m across or so) i...

Re: Making Camp in Ruins

I wouldn’t change the time needed simply because of game mechanics. Now you have to use one shift to set up the camp and then you can rest. This takes two out of the 4 shifts of the day so it is a tactical decision players have to make. If you allow making of camp in shorter duration this changes ”t...

Well I mean if it is a really botched roll…

Re: Making Camp in Ruins

Like Fenhorn said, bonus is the way to go.
Keep in mind that a failed roll still means that the camp is made and can be used, but there is a mishap. (Some mishaps might mean no sleep but still the vamp is there.)

Re: VEchle DATA

My version: Combat speed: 5/4 Travel speed: 10/8 Fuel cap: 95/95 Fuel cons: 3 (double if alcohol) Armor: 3 all sides Cargo cap: 300 As always, the cargo capacity as well as fuel capacity and consumption would differ quite a bit from "IRL". From gameplay perspective I tried to keep this in ...

Re: Acquiring Languages

I have added a "video game trope": skill books! :D When players find a "skill/language" book they can get X amount (usually 1-2, but for languages sometimes more). I am not striving for realism here, it is just to make new talents and especially languages more desirable to buy wh...

Re: Extra Travel Maps

The smaller roads (not on the map) count as off-road for a reason. Those that have ”navigated” backroads before the era of gps remember how easy it was to get lost, especislly without maps. Add to this the changes that war makes to roads and yeah, it will not be as easy as following 4-8 lane partly ...

Re: Thoughts about Medical Aid.

So, how would either of us judge whether something is possible or not? Well first of all remember, that the critical hits themselves are not written in stone. The referee is supposed to color and determine the damage based on the actual thing that caused it. Only the mechanical effects are the same...
