Re: Urban Operations

Hope never dies, but it definitely needs hard core CPR now. Here's my latest guesstimate: Apparently FL is raising prices on their webshop on Thursday across the board. Maybe they want to release UO then to avoid raising the price a day or two after release? Also releasing it now with a higher price...

Re: Converting T2K4E to Modern Mercenary Game

As an engine, the system will probably do just fine when it comes to combat. There are other aspects that could probably be ignored, like travel/camp mechanics, unless you want to focus on those during long missions in unnamed jungles. That being said the combat system is just the bones of a modern ...

Re: Urban Operations

Check out the other thread, "T2K Support and publishing plans", that comment by Thomas is what Fenhorn was referring to in that thread.
I do believe we will have the pdf next week, hopefully by Monday!

Re: T2k Support and Publishing Plans

Those both definitely count as juicy rumours, thanks for the update guys!
It looks like all my stalling for the groups movement can finally stop and they can finally approach Krakow without being harassed by enemy forces constantly!:D

Re: T2k Support and Publishing Plans

Urban Operations is almost finished, we hope to start a pre-order with immediate access to a PDF within about two weeks. edit: and after that Hostile Waters and then Operation Reset and as soon as Frank Frey's health allows, Black Madonna. This was about 4 weeks ago I believe... Anyone have juicy r...

Re: Group Recon -roll alternatives?

I am not leaning into John Wick type of campaign. That is not the issue. The point simply was, that the group stealth mechanisms were not very fun gameplaywise imo. After running Blades in the Dark and Band of Blades for almost 100 sessions I learned a lot more about GM:ing. Mainly that the idea sho...

Re: I'm considering making Personal Medkits last longer.

I thought about this personally as well, having attended several "tactical medicine" courses and having tested several first aid kits. They definitely do contain materials for more than one wound. Thing is, that it usually is materials for one type of wound. There aren't multiple needles f...

Re: Group Recon -roll alternatives?

My idea is that it should feel like a movie This. Exactly this. Your idea of leader extra successes being other persons being "under the wing" is something that I think I will try. It will make for exciting gameplay and give the recon guy a chance to shine and makes players do hard choice...

Re: Group Recon -roll alternatives?

Naturaöly there are many uses for all skills, that is not the issue here. My main ”problem”, as minor as it is, is that group stealth is not handled in a very empowering way. A group of 4 sneaking areoun, 3 have RECON A and one F, so that is rolled (as an extreme example). Think of this from the poi...
