Re: Interest in a Solo play AAR

Possibly! I'd at least give it a look.

Re: A kind of error in Ruins of Eriador??

No, I haven't, sorry. I thought that having fixed at the PDF, it means that FL are aware of the topic, so it'll be fixed at the 2nd edition of the physical books.
Or possibly in later printings rather than an out-right second edition. Or is that what you meant?

Re: Players can't seem to grasp the "feel" of Tolkien

If your players continue on this path, I say let them reap what they've sown. They need to experience the consequences of their actions. On the other hand, maybe this just isn't the game for them.

Re: none-define areas

It would be pretty easy to put one or two modest inns between the Shire and Bree, or at least have some scattered farmholds that allow travelers to spend a night. It's barely possible to travel between Bree and the Brandywine Bridge in a day (if you rush) but only on horseback. It's going to take at...

Re: Where are the spiders?

Giant spiders aren't much found west of the Misty Mountains. There is Dolomedia, the Monstrous Water Spider near the landmark Fort Arlas (Ruins of the Lost Realm).

Re: Peoples of Wilderland (5e) is out!

Forgive me if I am doing this wrong I am terrible with forums. The link you posted seems to just be for Moria. Do I need to click on anything afterwards? . Maybe this will help answer your question: Moria Kickstarter Update #14 - Peoples of Wilderland: Hello! A month has passed since the end of the...

Re: Monster book?

Yes, panther is one of 40 English words for the same animal, including the mountain lion and cougar. Before European settlement their range went from the tip of South America to the boreal forest and the Atlantic to the Pacific. Anyway I don't think it would be a stretch to find them in Eriador or ...

Re: Monster book?

I would argue Panthers (Cougars and Mountain lions) can also be found in Northern regions. Not all the way up to the Forodwaith and probably not north of the Grey mountains. But I bet they can be found in the Blue Mountains and well north in the Misty Mountains. Probably in the Ettinmoors and perha...

Re: Monster book?

On a side note, what animals should be found in Middle-earth? Just using the DnD 5E SRD (giant versions of any beast might be found in the same region where the normal creature might dwell. The same can be applied to swarms of creatures): Region: North-eastern Middle-earth: Awakened Shrub (?); Awaken...
