Re: Zmijewski: The best published PC/NPC in RPG history

And then I just want to watch a player's reaction when they get to take him over in the second act and read his background and agenda card, as it clicks that the motivation for his odd behavior was simpler yet weirder than they had guessed. So you're making them change the characters after every ac...

Question about Skill rolls and Panic rolls below 7, plus other queries

Hi, Been running Destroyer of Worlds with my group and it's been going mostly very well but I'll be honest that some things have left me a little unsure. First up, the skill rolls. My understanding of reading the rules is that if you roll a 1 on a panic die you cannot push your roll, plus you have t...

Re: Hope's Last Day question ...

Hmm, was just thinking that being a truly secret Android, i.e. from the players as well is effectively impossible because androids don't use stress dice. I mean they could roll them alongside normal dice and pretend but if they only get a success in the stress dice then technically it shouldn't work...

Re: Hope's Last Day question ...

I figure it's down to the player to decide if they're open or not. One query I have: there are two different sets of maps of Hadley's Hope in the book itself (and a printer friendly version to download here) but the ones in the book appear to be the same. Is that right or did I miss some key feature?

Re: Ranks for crew on ships etc.

The interesting thing with your list though is that while Captain (or Commanding Officer, or CO ... or rather, since this is a civilian ship, "Master"), XO (again, military - civilian equivalent is "First Mate" or "Chief Mate"), Navigator, Science Officer, Chief Engine...

Ranks for crew on ships etc.

I was just going through the cast of Alien and pulling out the jobs each person had for populating a ship and thought it might be useful for everyone.  Captain (Dallas) Executive Officer or XO (Kane) Warrant Officer (Ripley) Navigator (Lambert) Science Officer (Ash) Chief Engineer (Parker) Engineeri...

Re: Official Errata

According to DriveThruRPG it looks like these changes were already present in the PDF since late November last year. Is that right? Or should I look for an update soon?

Re: CM-9OS Corvus Deckplan

I used Inkscape. Which is a free Vector image software. Takes a bit of time to get your head round it. But you’re generally working with basic shapes so it’s not too bad. I create the walls in one layer. The floors in another. Then fill in the negative spaces on another layer. Then add icons, doors...

Re: CM-9OS Corvus Deckplan

https://m.imgur.com/gallery/NabBMvc I’ve had a go at doing it. Took a lot longer than I planned. But wanted to make something decent enough others might make use of it. It was tricky fitting the Hanger in such a small ship. Hence why the reactor is further forward. Got it all in there though. Out o...

Re: Travel Times

I had to read the rules a few times but as far as I can see stasis means you have zero NDD effects but there's no requirement that you enter stasis during FTL, you'll just be rolling on the NDD table after a Parsec of travel if you don't.  Hence it seems reasonable to assume that a ship would spin u...
