Re: Existing Dungeons Good to use with FL

I picked up 51 Dungeons the other day and have been making my way through them - they're quite serviceable for any ruleset. Bonus: Includes a selection of taverns and mansions to fill things out.

Re: Adventure Site: Fort River Stone

Brilliant bit, here:
Also, the tome is actually the physical inhabitation of a demon. Miselda's predecessors withstood temptation, but Miselda has not, and now she wants to feed the tome blood to satisfy the demon and learn forbidden magic (Path of Blood).

Re: Errata for published game

Highly recommended to read the Year Zero engine docs: It demystifies a lot of what's in the Player's and GM handbooks.

Re: Mad idea: give out all legends in one go - anyone tried it?

Legends give the game flavour - I like to dole mine out one per session through recollections the adventurers might have or from NPCs they meet along the way. Given how important Stanengist is to the story of the Ravenlands, I like to get that one out of the way earlier on and have the others branch...

Re: New Player with Questions!

You might find it helpful to see how the game is played by enthusiasts, like those over at Three Skulls Tavern - they show everything from Session 0 to house rules and how to manage exploration and combat, along with some interesting house rules to augment/speed up play.

Re: Errata for published game

GM Guide, p. 150 "The Masscre Lure" - should read "The Massacre Lure"

My eye has gone right over this a dozen times and never noticed it until now!

Re: Q: Is Falender ruins, a recovered village, or a general region?

Perhaps, however we're ~300y removed from the city being burned to ashes and Nightwargs being released into the environs. I would imagine the surviving peoples scattered to other places where they would then be from. It just seems jarringly inconsistent to have a present NPC from a place that's very...

Wow - that is a really cool game you have going. Love the idea of having the lady open up the FL to the players through options to give the locations some structure. I've been playing with something similar - trying to give gentle nudges and not railroad them into sites.

Thanks for sharing that.

A different hermit I take it, given it is 300y later and the original one was devoured by his own creation... ?

I'd like to know more about your plot hooks: What did you set up for the adventurers to lure them into the site?

Q: Is Falender ruins, a recovered village, or a general region?

Lore says that it was burned to the ground as part of Zygofer's purge in 869 and is a place Aspis wants to see rebuilt so he can install a temple to the serpent god Wyrm there. All well and good. Per GMG p. 22: "Settlers made their way east to the plains of Moldena and Margelda, which are suitable f...
