Re: Thinking about next campaign...

Gaska/Free League have indicated that the next campaign book we're getting is going to focus on Explorers/Colonists (think Prometheus or Covenant) but the campaign book after that one is going to be Space Truckers

Re: ALIEN Colonial Marines PDF Bug Report Chapters 6-10

Not sure if there is a typo, I am missing something obvious, or the military has its own kind of mathematics, but on page 111, under the Rifle company it says: Each of these 86-man companies is commanded by a captain and assisted by a lieutenant as the company executive officer (XO). The three comp...

Re: Design Decision?

I can't speak to the designer's intent, but I can speak from my experience playing Alien vs. playing other tabletop games. The unpredictability builds tension, and the randomness depersonalizes the creature from the GM. The former is important because the entire game is structured around building te...

Re: Non XX121 Xenomorph Abilities

By the rules as written, you are correct: the book does not grant Neomorphs immunity to cold, vacuum, etc. I would interpret this as intentional. Abominations aren't given these traits either, as you state, but given the context of the scenario... they have existed on the exterior of the hull for se...

Re: Destroyer of Worlds: Question about (spoiler warning)

The details (as with a lot of Cinematic characters) are a little vague, but she was severely wounded and unconscious - the implication would seem to be that she was in a coma (perhaps medically induced) while she had a spinal synaptic relay installed. Given that she wakes up in Fort Nebraska and is ...

Re: Xenomorph and Pulse Rifles

I can think of three important considerations that should be made: 1. We do not know the game stats of the Sulaco marines. They could be starting characters, they could be seasoned soldiers like the DoW PCs, they could be even more experienced than that. 2. We do not know the stress levels of the ch...

Re: Alien attributes: stamina for decompression rules

Admittedly not got the rulebook to hand, but perhaps it was never given because Xenomorphs and Neomorphs aren't affected by vacuum? I tend to agree, but that's only half of the problem. The other half is that the rules for Explosive Decompression suggest the rapid gust of air leaving the room can p...

Re: Overwatch, HELP!

You're free to play with house rules, but that's the way the book is written. Being able to act out of turn and potentially interrupt/negate an enemy's entire action is a huge benefit. I think it easily warrants the cost.

Re: Overwatch, HELP!

Being able to make an attack out of turn order and interrupt somebody else's action is enough of an advantage to warrant the cost of both actions. That's the way the rule is written.
