Re: A New Life awaits you in the Off-World Colonies

there were some Easter-eggs that might simply have been in-jokes, such as Dallas's resume saying he once shipped cargo for Tyrell Corp. Don't recall when that bio was written or by whom, but remember that ALIEN came before Blade Runner. So, it might not be an easter egg or even an in-joke, but just...

Re: A New Life awaits you in the Off-World Colonies

But here's the thing: while I won't be interested in visiting them in-game myself, the Off-World Colonies are and must be a palpable presence in the setting. In the original movie, it seems pretty much all the work that the Rep-Detects (a.k.a. Bladerunners) get, comes from Off-World. Nexus 6 replica...

Re: A New Life awaits you in the Off-World Colonies

It would be something like the "Alien vs. Predator" franchise, which is an entirely separate property all of its own; completely disconnected from both the Alien and the Predator properties.

Re: Tomas spills some secrets about the RPG

For certain, a part of the story in the original Bladerunner is about following a chain of clues — the address Leon gives Holden leads to the "snake scale" leads to Taffey's leads to Zhora — but OTOH, the chain of "clues" leading to the discovery of Pris and Roy (J.F.'s body left in Tyrell's bedroom...

Re: Tomas spills some secrets about the RPG

That's a bit ambiguous, I feel. On one hand, it is as you say: Bladerunner is about Bladerunners and Replicants. But on the other hand, the same is true for ALIEN: it is about the Alien and WY conspiracies. And yet, it seems to me the general feeling is that if either or both of those elements were ...

Re: Tomas spills some secrets about the RPG

The MY Elysium setting included some good sandbox/ideas for an investigative noir/dystopian setting if I remember correctly so the FL will probably get this right! Excited! Likely you are correct, but being myself not familiar with Elysium and thus not able to decipher the reference, I'd just highl...

Re: Inspiration: Other sources for setting music

(and over-played)

Beg to differ! 8-)

But I'd consider going for Jean-Michel Jarre, especially some of his earlier works.

Re: Tomas spills some secrets about the RPG

Don't forget that you can mix and match characters into the same "crew" — e.g. a Bladerunner, a homicide detective, a street cop, and a PI getting involved in the same investigation, for the basic "Case File" based campaign. But think that basically any of the "civilians" we see in the movies could ...
